Alumni Update: Christopher Mocko
Chris went through the GT program at Churchill Road and Longfellow, and graduated from Thomas Jefferson in 2004. While at Jefferson he was a long distance runner and was part of the VA state champion cross country team in 2002. He graduated from Stanford in 2008 and continues there in a Masters program. He has run for Stanford for four years (he was red-shirted in his freshman year so he continues to run this year), and was on the Stanford team that finished third in the country in the NCAA Div 1 Cross Country championships in November 2008. His outdoor track specialty is the 3000 M Steeplechase, and he has run in the NCAA Regional Championships in that race the past two years. |
