The Brooksfield Montessori school, which is situated on 5 beautiful acres, just outside of Falls Church, Virginia, knows that physical education is an important part of a well-rounded private elementary program.  It's imperative for children to learn good fitness habits by exercising regularly.  Thus, every Tuesday, in PE class, the children in the primary Montessori program run or walk 1 mile as part of a "mileage club" developed by their PE teacher.  When the children reach 5 miles, they receive a special token.  The children love to collect their tokens and look forward to their Tuesday class.  Go kids Go!  Way to stay fit!
