Brooksfield
Montessori school, located in
McLean, Virginia, not far from Vienna, houses preschool through
elementary school children. The
private school, unique not only for it's location on five gorgeous, wooded acres, but for it's mix of Montessori and traditional educational values, focuses on helping children develop an excitement for learning. The children in the preschool and
Kindergarten Montessori program as well as the
elementary Montessori program are taught to be thinkers and problem solvers and to follow their natural curiosity. That innate curiosity is further ignited by Brooksfield School's superb teaching staff, a group of highly trained, experienced, Montessori certified teachers who guide the children using didactic materials that help them learn through experience. Mixed with that method, is a pinch of traditional large group and "paper and pencil" activities that expose the children to group instruction and cooperative learning, helping them become well rounded students. Now THAT is a recipe for success!
