Schedule a Parent Tour
See all of the children involved in daily Montessori, cultural and social activities and ask questions about the program. Group tours take place once a month from October through January. There is typically one session per tour date. Tours begin at 10 a.m. Please call the Director of Admissions at 703-356-5437, ext. 2, to schedule a tour.

 

Application
Applications must be submitted with a $60 nonrefundable application fee by February 1st for placement on our wait list. Applications submitted after February 1st will also be placed on our wait list and will be given consideration after applications received by the deadline. Appropriate openings for the next school year are directly determined by our re-enrollment status. If space is not available for your child, he or she will be placed back on the wait list to be considered for future openings.
 

Age Requirement
Brooksfield enrolls students 3 through 10 years of age. Brooksfield applicants must be 3 years of age by September 30th of the school year for which you are applying.

Recommendation and Transcripts
Teacher recommendations and transcripts must be sent directly to the applicant's current school. Recommendations and transcripts must be received by February 1st.

Upper School Applicant Testing:
Children applying to the Upper School Program (6 to 10yrs) are required to have the Wechsler Intelligence Scale (WISC-IV) test administered by an approved educational diagnostician.  A copy of the testing should be included with the child's application by February 1st.

Applicant Visits
All applicant visits are scheduled by the Director of Admissions. For children applying to the Lower School program, Brooksfield will contact you to schedule a 20-minute child visit if space allows for it. If you are applying to the Upper School program, the Director of Admissions will contact you to schedule a time when your child can spend one or two full mornings in the classroom.  Applicant visits are conducted from October through March.

Enrollment Notification
In early March, a letter will be sent to you regarding the status of your child's application.
