This year is an exciting year for Brooksfield as we have launched our first-ever annual fund. We have decided to call it the Brooksfield Fund for obvious reasons! Gifts to the fund help us bridge the gap between tuition and fees and the actual cost of a Brooksfield education.

Support of the Brooksfield Fund will help to pay for items such as staff development, special student programs, financial aid, and additional educational materials for the classrooms. In addition, these gifts   help the school fund unexpected expenses should they arise.

In the past those items have included, a new playground, retiling a floor and hiring an additional adult for each classroom to meet a change in state regulations. These are items that are critical to Brooksfield's mission and help make the Brooksfield experience so special for all of our children.

Our goal this year is simple – to raise $35,000 for the Brooksfield Fund. So, whether you are a current or former parent, a grandparent or an alumni, we hope that you will take the time to make a contribution. All gifts, large and small, are tax deductible and will help us meet our goal and count toward participation.

Attention all Grandparents:

If you are age 70 ½ or older, you can take advantage of the Charitable IRA Rollover which is in effect through December 2009 and make a gift to the Brooksfield Fund.  The Charitable IRA Rollover allows taxpayers to make donations up to $100,000 directly to charitable organizations from their IRAs without counting them as part of their Adjusted Gross Income, and consequently, without paying taxes on them.  This is a wonderful way to honor a grandchild, and help Brooksfield at the same time.
