Change is exciting when it means creating an even better learning environment for our students. Brooksfield School has been a part of the McLean community for decades, and we are thrilled to announce that we’ve moved to a new home at 1724 Chain Bridge Road in McLean, Virginia.
While our roots remain the same, this new location provides us with the space to grow, innovate, and continue delivering the exceptional Montessori education that families have come to know and love.
A State-of-the-Art Facility
Our new space was recently fully renovated, and every detail was designed with children in mind. The classrooms are bright, open, and equipped with bathrooms to make the day smoother and more comfortable for young learners. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light, offering calming views of the surrounding area and creating a peaceful and inspiring atmosphere that supports focus and creativity.
The addition of a multi-purpose room and a dedicated performance arts area allows us to offer even more opportunities for children to explore music, theater, and movement. These thoughtfully designed spaces reflect our commitment to nurturing the whole child — mind, body, and spirit.
Close to Tysons and Major Roadways
Our new location is just minutes from Tysons and major roadways, making drop-offs and pick-ups convenient for busy families. While we are more accessible than ever, we’re still surrounded by the charm and natural beauty of McLean, which gives students the opportunity to learn and play in a serene setting.
Nature and Outdoor Adventures
One of our favorite aspects of the new campus is that we’ve maintained our close connection to the outdoors, a key component of Brooksfield’s mission. We will continue to offer organic gardening, orienteering, outdoor adventures, and mindfulness activities. A brand-new natural playground is in the works, giving children a creative and eco-friendly space to climb, imagine, and play. We’ve also added an outdoor classroom, allowing students to experience hands-on learning while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine.
Our new facility is conveniently located near local parks, offering even more space for exploration and connection with nature. As always, we’re continuing our green mission and deep commitment to caring for the Earth, a value that is woven into everything we do.
Expanding Arts and Enrichment
Brooksfield’s focus on the arts remains a cornerstone of our curriculum. In our new space, we’ll continue to offer programs such as music, Spanish, art, yoga, and mindfulness, providing children with daily opportunities to grow creatively and intellectually.
These enrichment activities complement our Montessori philosophy, giving students the freedom to learn through self-discovery and joyful exploration.
Enhanced Before and After Care
To better serve our community, we’re expanding our before- and after-care programs. In addition to Haycock, Chesterbrook, Lemon Road, and Kent Gardens Elementary Schools, we are excited to announce that Franklin Sherman Elementary has been added to our list for AM/PM care. This expansion means more families can benefit from the flexible, supportive care that Brooksfield is proud to provide.
The Same Heart, A Beautiful New Setting
While the address has changed, Brooksfield’s heart remains the same. Our team of dedicated teachers and staff will continue to provide a warm, nurturing environment where children thrive both academically and emotionally.
