What do you teach at Brooksfield School?
Toddlers
What do you love about Brooksfield/ Why do you like teaching at Brooksfield?
I am very supportive of the mission and philosophy at Brooksfield. “We strive to nurture the social, physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual development of our students.” I take pride that we embrace the whole child. We not only apply the Montessori philosophy in our classrooms, we also practice Yoga and meditation with the students. We are health conscious about our snacks and work with Lokl gourmet for lunches.
What motivated you to become a teacher at Brooksfield?
Brooksfield has a great reputation which aroused my curiosity. When I came to visit the campus, I immediately fell in love. After meeting the staff and students, I knew this was a place where I could teach, and learn and grow from.
What sets Brooksfield apart from other Montessori schools?
Brooksfield has a wonderful staff that makes you feel like family. We love and care for one another, as we do our students and community as a whole.
What is a unique experience, talent, or interest you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
I love cooking and gardening. These two passions are brought together in teaching the children how to take care of the garden, then teaching them how to use what we grow in some of our cooking projects. I also enjoy hiking, playing sports, exercising as well as yoga. I am able to do all of these fun activities with the children! It is important to stay active and be playful with such young, loving and energetic children!
What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
I just want my students to love whole heartedly and laugh often. Embrace every moment because everything is a learning experience.
