I love to share the joy of music!
What sets Brooksfield apart from other Montessori schools?
Brooksfield has an extraordinary commitment toward continuing education, expanding experiences, community outreach, and instilling a sense of connection in their students, staff, and families.
What is a unique experience, talent, or interest you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
I have been a teacher and performer for over 20 years. I involve movement in every music class. It is a very interactive program. The ability of the students to connect sound and rhythm physically not only develops their motor skills, but allows them to enhance their brain development.
What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
A love of music!
Is there anything else you would like to share about yourself? Perhaps a fun fact?
As a teenager my son joined a band. They came to practice at our house. I saw them and I recognized them! The other four members of the band (extremely talented musicians) were students I had taught in their preschools. They may or may not have recognized me, but they did learn a love of music that continues to enhance their lives.
