What do you teach at Brooksfield School?
I am the Extended Day Director, Camp Director and Physical Education teacher. I also run the Outdoor Adventure Program with 2 other co-workers.
What do you love about Brooksfield?Why do you like teaching at Brooksfield?
I love the atmosphere at Brooksfield. The staff is very warm and welcoming. It amazes me how quickly the children learn new material, and how much they love and respond to the Montessori Method.
What motivated you to become a teacher at Brooksfield?
When I was younger I had a teacher that took the time to help me, I remember her patience and kindness for it truly impacted me. Because of that, I knew I wanted to teach young minds and help them achieve anything they put their mind to.
What sets Brooksfield a part from other Montessori schools?
Brooksfield is a very nurturing environment. The staff is always engaged in teaching the child new and exciting material. Brooksfield gives their teachers and staff freedom to teach outside of the box. Brooksfield believes in allowing the child to excel individually and guides them to become their best possible self.
What is a unique experience, talent, or interest you bring to your classroom to help shape the learning experience of your students?
What I bring to the classroom to help shape the learning experience for the students is creativity and patience. I have worked with children for many years and learned different approaches to learning. I also have a passion for physical education and movement, and I want to help instill that within the children at a young age.
What do you want your students to gain from having known you?
I want my students to gain respect for themselves and one another.

I have been apart of the Brooksfield family for 15 years. My 3 children grew up being Counselors in Training at camp, and then they all moved on to be Camp Counselors. I am from New Jersey and I am a huge Giants Football and Mets Baseball fan!
